DEKKER story began between the mountains and the open sea, in the heart of Tuscany. Here, a project became a journey of discovery, an incessant flow of ideas crossing time, linking past and present.
The brand is named after Chief Officer Ten Dekker, who, on board a submarine, recognized a civilian ship in the target of his torpedoes, and was brave enough to stop the attack. The brand’s ethical legacy was inspired by such clear-headed and deep thinking, capable of getting past the target, past the line-up.
A double essence
Our creative soul feeds off the dialogue between opposites - tradition and innovation, precision and creativity - to create collections that explore new possibilities for expression. The submarine - the brand’s historical symbol - symbolizes this vision, not as a war vehicle, but rather as a metaphor of exploration and rebirth.
The submarine porthole becomes the logo, and the hull takes shape in the jacket sleeve, as signature marks conveying the brand’s identity.
The vibrant orange, the colour of discovery, represents the connection with the outside world, the will to look beyond the boundaries and embrace past, present and future in a single vision.
All fabrics, textures and accessories enhance, complete and equip every garment, turning it into a tool for day-to-day exploration.
